Before your wedding ceremony can be performed, a marriage license must be obtained from the State of California.
The cost of a marriage license is $49.00. The license must be secured in person at any California county clerk's office. Both parties must be present to sign the application. Applications can be faxed or emailed in advance.
A blood test is NOT required.
Divorced persons must provide the approximate date of the divorce.
A marriage licence application is valid for 90 days.
